About the role
The Senior Coordinator coordinates, supervises and delivers operations and maintenance activities within the Omeo depot, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of water, sewerage and recycled water services to customers.
The role and depot are supported by centralised East Gippsland Water (EGW) resources that cover maintenance planning and scheduling, specialist maintenance activities, treatment plant operating plans and optimisation, operational project delivery and administration, water quality sampling program design, and staff technical training. The role provides local input and support for efficient and effective delivery by these centralised resources in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate depot operations, staffing, rosters and service delivery.
Lead teams to achieve operational targets and performance outcomes.
Oversee water, sewer and recycled water services to ensure compliance.
Monitor water quality, treatment operations and regulatory requirements.
Act as the key local liaison for customers and stakeholders.
Coordinate maintenance activities, contractors and asset inspections.
Support planning, scheduling and delivery of maintenance and projects.
Monitor KPIs, analyse performance and drive continuous improvement.
Manage budgets, procurement, resources and workforce allocation.

- This role has been classified as per our Enterprise Agreement as a Band 4.1- 4.4 position, ($94,711.65-$106,841.38 per annum)
- Plus 12% employer superannuation contribution. We reserve the right to remunerate successful candidates within the span of this classification dependant on demonstrated skills, experience and qualifications.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Demonstrated sound technical knowledge and experience in the operations and maintenance of water and sewerage networks and treatment plants with a certificate in water industry operations.
- Effective time and project management skills combined with the ability to prioritise to ensure good quality outcomes during times of peak activity.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills combined with good verbal, written and technological skills ensuring the ability to work effectively with people at all organisational levels.
- A proven track record in effectively managing the performance of a team to ensure quality outcomes.
- An aptitude for problem solving and a pro-active approach to asset maintenance and programmed works.
- A positive attitude towards personal development including being accountable, innovative, passionate and united to achieve corporate objectives.
