Position: Senior Costing Engineer – Forging & Machining

Location: Bangalore

Work Mode: Work From Office

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: Competitive (Based on Experience)

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare accurate cost estimates for ferrous and non-ferrous forgings and machined components.

* Develop cost models for closed-die forging, open forging, bar stock, and machining processes.

* Analyze tooling, machine time, raw materials, labor, overheads, and production costs.

* Collaborate with Design (NPD), Engineering, Procurement, and suppliers to evaluate project feasibility and optimize costs.

* Compare supplier quotations and maintain costing databases, BOMs, and historical cost records.

* Identify cost-saving opportunities through process improvements and supplier negotiations.

* Estimate tooling, die, and equipment costs while evaluating tooling amortization based on production volumes.

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

* 3–5 years of experience in costing, estimation, or commercial engineering within the forging or manufacturing industry.

* Strong understanding of forging processes, machining operations, material cost structures, and BOM management.

* Experience working with OEMs or forging suppliers for component costing and RFQ analysis.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.

* Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

* Experience in Automotive, Aerospace, or Heavy Manufacturing industries.

* Exposure to Foundry or New Product Development (NPD) projects.
