THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused team member to join the SAP Asia Pacific Cybersecurity and Compliance Advisory team as a Cybersecurity and Compliance Advisor. You will need to be comfortable with working independently, taking ownership as a subject matter expert and managing a steep learning curve in a dynamic sales environment.
The objective of the Asia Pacific Cybersecurity and Compliance Advisory team is to drive strategy and planning jointly with our customers and advocate for them on security, privacy, and compliance topics based on their business strategy. We aim to ensure our customers are happy to select, onboard, consume and renew SAP cloud solutions. We support the execution of Go-To-Market activities, and act as a trusted advisor to our customers and the SAP business, complemented by a focus on thought leadership and consolidation of expertise across the broad SAP Solution Portfolio and 3rd party solutions.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Security, privacy, and compliance is of paramount importance to our customers when investing in business applications, platforms and infrastructure in the Cloud.
The successful applicant will support sales and customer engagement teams, working to build trust with customers and helping them with their security, privacy, and compliance needs. The following are the key tasks required of this role:
1. Serve as an advisor to key customer technology and business stakeholders on security, privacy, and compliance topics, establishing trust-based relationships through active engagement and collaboration
2. Lead customer discussions, presentations, and workshops on SAP’s security, privacy, and compliance standards for both cloud and hybrid solutions
3. Coordinate closely with internal product and corporate security and compliance teams to act as a subject matter expert facilitating compliance and managing customer escalations
4. Provide expert support for responses to customer and partner questions, questionnaires, and risk assessments on security, privacy, and compliance topics
5. Apply and communicate comprehensive knowledge of relevant and continuously evolving security and privacy regulations and frameworks in Southeast Asia with a focus on Singapore
6. Educate SAP customers, partners, and internal teams on important security, privacy, and compliance aspects of SAP Cloud through regular interaction and creation of scalable digital assets
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Executive Presence – Must have business communication skills, comfortable presenting to C-level executives and board members
- Cloud Competence – Strong working knowledge of security and compliance considerations of cloud and hybrid environments
- Lifelong Learner – Passion for self-development to gain in-depth understanding of the SAP security strategy and solution portfolio, regulatory requirements, industry trends, and executive presence
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Significant experience in cyber security or related technical and compliance domains
- Broad knowledge of SAP solutions across the portfolio preferred
- Knowledge of SAP Cloud security and compliance preferred
- CISSP, CCSP, CRISC or other major cyber security-related certification preferred
