Senior Director of Communications for APJC

Fortune ranked Cisco as the world’s #1 company to work for in 2021.That accolade is a testament to our culture, our people, the work we do, and the future we’re creating. Internally and externally, in the digital world. In this role you can have a real impact in shaping what that world looks like.

What you'll do

The big picture: You’ll develop the next generation of Cisco’s public relations, social media, executive, and employee communications professionals across APJC. And you’ll shape the region’s internal and external messaging and communications campaigns. Campaigns that will position Cisco as the leader in technology and shaping the digital world.

You’ll translate Cisco’s APJC business strategy into communications with tangible, measurable outcomes. You’ll work with the region’s executive leadership and be a strategic advisor to the business. And you’ll provide the link between all communications across the entire APJC region.

The day-to-day: You’ll lead and develop a team of communications professionals across APJC. Driving our corporate, regional and local communications programs, you’ll plan and implement activities with the wider global communications team.

You also will work with key internal (APJC executive leadership, government affairs, analyst relations, engineering, sales, marketing and other functions) and external partners (media and influencers).

More about who you'll work with

You’ll be part of the team responsible for advancing our reputation worldwide, with well-crafted, clear, compelling narratives that get people’s attention. You’ll be an excellent writer – someone who can make the complex simple – with an eye for detail. And it won’t take you long to get under the skin of our brand voice, and become an advocate for it. Deadlines and tight turnarounds won’t phase you. You’re happy taking the initiative and working with minimum guidance.

When it comes to your strengths, you count leadership, strategic, results-driven among them. Working with people across multiple geographies and functions will be nothing new to you.
