About Cathx Ocean Cathx Ocean are world leaders in Underwater Optical Imaging systems for machine learning. We have developed the world’s first built for purpose Subsea Imaging system, resolving most of the technical constraints with optical imaging underwater. These systems allow data to be collected in one tenth of the time taken with traditional imaging systems and also provide the data on which the Cathx Machine Learning hardware platform will be built. We are now planning to build and release a full suite of subsea applications and technologies to deliver efficiency and precision to a range of underwater operations. 
Our customers operate in a diverse number of markets including Offshore Oil and Gas, Subsea Cables, Renewable energy, Deep water search and Salvage, Oceanographic and Subsea Archaeology. We are changing how they see underwater and how image and measurement data can be converted to reliable and actionable information.
About the role Reporting to the QA Manager, the Senior Electronic Test Engineer / Quality Engineer will act as the quality stakeholder in New Product Introductions. This role will be based in our offices in M7 Business Park, Newhall, Naas, Co Kildare, with opportunity for hybrid working after successful probation.
Role Responsibilities• Coordinate and participate in NPI activities, including analysis of requirements, DMFA, prototype validation and preparation for production• Manage timelines and schedules on projects. Report projects progress to Quality Manager/Project stakeholders• Conduct supplier audits• Document, process and lead root cause investigation on defective products and components• Drive and implement corrective and preventative actions• Ensure a high level of product quality is maintained through improved and automated test procedures• Drive and/or support continuous improvement initiatives. I.e. Lean six sigma, quality initiatives• Support production in quality investigations and improving RFT
Qualifications, Skills and Experience• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent work experience• 3+ years industry experience in a Test Engineering or Quality Assurance role• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills• Experienced in scripting or coding• Can work independently proactively• Ability to work well as part of a team and build effective relationships across the business• A systematic and logical approach to tasks
Desired skills/qualifications• Knowledge of ISO9001• Ability to troubleshoot PCBs• Experience in JIRA or similar test defect/case tracking tool• Experience in Qmetry (Jira add-on)

The company operates a 37.5 hour working week, Monday-Friday.
