The role requires strong leadership, and the ability to motivate team members to excel in the development of new products that are high performing, reliable, and delivered on-time.

• Technical Ownership and Product Leadership: You will own the technical direction and lifecycle governance of the light engine portfolio, ensuring robust design decisions, long term performance, and alignment with evolving market and customer needs. performance.

Required Technical & Support Skills

• Education: BS/BA in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering – advanced degree preferred.
• Job Experience: 10+ years of experience in electromechanical product development, 5+ years of experience in supervising engineering teams
• Equipment Skills: Significant hands-on experience with ERP systems, JD Edwards E1 preferred
• Other: Expertise in technical and functional specifications writing required, Experience with Stage-gate methodologies, APQP tactics, and DFMEA preferred, Experience desirable in 3D CAD systems, PDM/PLM, SolidWorks Mechanical, SolidWorks Electrical, SolidWorks EPDM Vault, Altium, and OrCAD
• High comfort level to work independently, cope with ambiguity and lead teams. Must be able to effectively communicate own ideas, gathering ideas of others, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
• Communicate orally or by publishing written findings in a professional and expert manner.
• Travel Demands: Some, usually around 10%

• Leadership of Multidisciplinary Engineering Teams: You will lead, develop, and inspire engineering and product development teams, building strong capability, promoting disciplined engineering practices, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Execution of New Product Introductions: You will drive complex New Product Introduction programmes, managing priorities, timelines, and resources to ensure products are delivered on time, ready for manufacture, and meet defined performance and reliability standards.
• Manufacturing Integration and Operational Excellence: You will work closely with operations to ensure engineering designs translate efficiently into production, improving throughput, First Pass Yield, delivery performance, and overall cost effectiveness.
• Quality, Design Authority, and Change Governance: You will act as design authority across the product lifecycle, lead structured engineering change processes, and partner with Quality teams to apply Advanced Product Quality Planning principles (APQP) to ensure compliant and reliable product releases.
• Innovation, Partnerships, and Customer Focus: You will identify emerging technologies, develop external partnerships, and maintain a strong customer focus, ensuring engineering execution supports commercial commitments and long term growth.
