BDO Ireland has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and professional Senior Executive Assistant to join our growing business.

We are seeking a Senior Executive Assistant to provide five-star service to our Managing Partner. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute and grow within a leading professional services firm.
The successful candidate will:
  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Exhibit a proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Act as a Senior Executive Assistant while also managing and coordinating key project groups and Senior Level meetings.

Key Responsibilities


  • Diary Management: Efficiently manage the calendar of the Managing Partner, scheduling meetings, appointments, and events with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Correspondence Handling: Swiftly and efficiently filter and prioritize all incoming correspondence, ensuring critical communications are addressed promptly.
  • Travel Coordination: Arrange and manage travel logistics for the Partner Group, including flights, accommodations, and itineraries.
  • Communication Management: Draft, review, and send communications on behalf of the Managing Partner, maintaining a professional tone and ensuring accuracy.
  • Meeting Coordination: Plan, prepare, and coordinate key leadership meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up on action items.
  • Project Assistance: Assist in various projects as needed, driving the automation of processes and systems to enhance efficiency.
  • Financial Liaison: Work closely with the finance team to ensure timely payment of invoices and reconciliation of credit card statements.
  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support, including document management, filing, and office supply maintenance.
  • Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and always maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a point of contact between the Managing Partner and internal/external stakeholders, fostering strong professional relationships.
  • Event Planning: Assist in the planning and execution of company events, conferences, and team-building activities.
  • Research and Reporting: Conduct research and prepare reports as needed, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Interpersonal and Organizational Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and articulate manner.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar executive support role.
  • Professionalism: Confident and articulate, capable of representing the company and interacting with clients and executive staff at the highest levels.
  • Multitasking Ability: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and take proactive steps to address them.
  • Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Initiative: High level of initiative and self-motivation, with a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with team members across various departments, fostering a cooperative and supportive work environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks and communications.
