About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced senior field ecologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be looking to further their career and gain invaluable experience across a wide range of projects.
You will be responsible for managing large-scale ecological survey programs across Ireland. You will ensure efficient project delivery, and perform complex data analysis, including GIS usage. You will also prepare specialist ecological reports and provide technical advice to address project-related risks and concern.
Skills & experience
- Bachelor’s degree in ecology, natural science, or related biological discipline (postgraduate degree desirable)
- 5-7 years' experience in environmental consultancy or similar
- Previous consultancy experience
- Previous experience in mentoring and coaching junior staff
- Full or eligible for full membership of Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management
- Strong knowledge of ecological legislation
- Experience in habitat and species survey design and implementation
- Proven track record managing EcIA and AA for large projects
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills
- Excellent report writing skills and proven project management abilities
