Would you like to take ownership of statutory reporting, tax compliance and financial governance in a key role within a global organization?

We are looking for a Senior Financial and Tax Accountant to join our team in Vantaa. This is a permanent full-time position.

As a Senior Financial and Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for statutory reporting, tax compliance and financial governance for PPG's Finnish entities. Acting as the key accounting and compliance partner, you will collaborate closely with the PPG Shared Service Center in Brno, EMEA Tax, Treasury and Controllership teams, external auditors, tax authorities, and finance colleagues across Finland and the Nordics.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements and manage the full statutory reporting process.

• Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance, including CIT, VAT and withholding taxes.

• Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and tax authorities.

• Manage US tax reporting requirements and Effective Tax Rate (ETR) calculations.

• Review intercompany transactions and support transfer pricing processes.

• Support month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.

• Collaborate with SSC teams to ensure high-quality accounting processes.

• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and support internal and external audits.

• Maintain legal and corporate documentation for Finnish entities.

• Drive process improvements and support finance-related projects.

• Delivery of accurate and timely statutory financial statements.

• Full compliance with Finnish tax, reporting and regulatory requirements.

• Successful coordination of external audits and tax audits.

• Strong internal controls and ongoing audit readiness.

• High-quality collaboration with the Shared Service Center and EMEA stakeholders.

• Continuous improvement of accounting, reporting and compliance processes.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced accounting professional with strong knowledge of Finnish accounting and tax regulations. You are comfortable working independently, take ownership of your responsibilities and have excellent attention to detail.

To succeed in this role, you have:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance or tax-related roles.

• Strong knowledge of Finnish GAAP, tax compliance and regulatory requirements.

• Experience working with statutory reporting and external audits.

• Understanding of US GAAP and corporate reporting requirements is considered an advantage.

• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus.

• Fluent Finnish and English skills.

• Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
