We are currently seeking for our Headquarter in Hamburg a highly motivated and dedicated

Senior Group Business Controller (all genders)

Full time and permanent

Responsibilities:

Act as a trusted advisor to Enabling Function leadership by delivering proactive, data-driven insights that support strategic planning, resource allocation, and operational effectiveness.
Lead the analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) across enabling functions, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve business performance.
Partner cross-functionally with SG&A, IT, and R&D leaders to align financial strategies with functional objectives and broader corporate goals.
Drive the financial planning process for enabling functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, ensuring plans are both financially sound and operationally achievable.
Develop and enhance reporting capabilities, transitioning from static reporting to dynamic, forward-looking dashboards (e.g., via Power BI/Tableau).
Support the global FP&A transformation by contributing to the implementation and continuous improvement of planning tools, systems, and processes.
Optimize effective resource allocation by driving meaningful business case analysis for internal approval committee processes
Provide leadership in internal financial governance, ensuring execution of SOX controls and compliance with reporting standards while enabling agility in financial operations.
Collaborate with Group Accounting during monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, contributing to high-quality external financial reporting including MD&A and management commentary.
Champion continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities, standardizing processes, and enhancing the quality and speed of financial insights delivered to stakeholders.

Required qualifications:

University degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
Experience in a Group Business Controlling Environment
Significant relevant professional working experience in a similar role
Experience of setting up reporting structure
Experience of working in an international environment
Strong IFRS knowledge
Business fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Further ideal qualifications:

Professional experience in a Big 4 company
PCAOB and SOX specific experience
Pharma / life sciences background
Working Experience within a public/global company
Good command of the German language
