About Camden
Camden council is looking to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Advisor who enjoys a challenge and wants to be part of our team of professionals. This role will be providing expert advice to services within our Supporting Communities directorate in which key frontline services are based.
What You’ll Be Doing
The role will predominately be to provide advice within our Supporting Communities Directorate, which includes Environment Services, Libraries, Housing as well as Facilities Management.
The post offers a suitably qualified and experienced health and safety professional the opportunity to develop their skills by providing a variety of work, such as being involved in health and safety performance reports, untertaking and reviewing health and safety management systems and incidents, and advising staff and leading operational and specialist activities.

All About You
You will be qualified in NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ 4 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice/NVQ5 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice or equivalent . You will also be a corporate member of IOSH or will be working towards this. You will be experienced in developing and delivering safety policies and procedures across a large and complicated organisation and be able to lead both specialist and operational safety activities. Experience of working within a local authority would be advantageous.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with senior managers, employees and key stakeholders to advise them on a range of complex occupational health and safety issues.
