Position Summary
As Senior Inbound Logistics Analyst, you'll be responsible for managing and optimising the inbound flow of goods from suppliers to our distribution centres. This role involves coordinating with logistics service providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, analysing logistics data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inbound Flow Management: Coordinate inbound goods flow, managing exceptions, re-routing, and expediting to achieve on-time delivery targets.
- Cost Efficiency and Compliance: Ensure timely and cost-effective coordination of inbound product flow while maintaining compliance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with 3PLs, brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant product, documentation, and data flow.
- KPI Development and Analysis: Create and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports to support inbound logistics.
- Performance Management: Conduct business analyses to drive process improvements and manage logistics service provider performance.
- Project Leadership: Lead or support logistics projects, including RFP processes, evaluations, and implementation.
- Process Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance delivery efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Problem Solving: Identify operational issues and root causes, developing actionable insights and solutions for stakeholders.
- Communication and Reporting: Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders regarding logistics performance and initiatives.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and maintain SOPs with logistics providers and educate collaborators as needed.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure timely and accurate data in visibility tools and systems, resolving issues in collaboration with LSPs and IT.
- Invoice Support: Assist with invoice queries from partners to ensure timely payments.
- Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement continuous process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with logistics service providers and supply chain management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in logistics.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with common logistics or supply chain ERP systems
- Advanced excel skills
- Dashboard & Reporting / Scenario Analysis
Leadership Abilities
- Ability to lead and deliver comprehensive end-to-end analysis on operational flows.
Communication and Collaboration
- Collaborates with internal and external partners to optimise inbound flow. Drives continuous improvement efforts to enhance inbound flow and acting as a subject matter expert on inbound logistics processes. Presents analysis results and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making processes.
Strategic Thinking
- Suggest and design logistics strategies that optimize cost efficiency, improve service quality, and enhance supply chain resilience
- Ability to anticipate future challenges and opportunities in inbound logistics, and proactively create solutions to meet evolving business needs.
Reporting Structure
- Reports into Manager, Inbound Logistics Europe - within Global Distribution & Logistics Team
Travel
- Occasional travel required (2 in region business travels per year expected)
