The Senior Maintenance Planner / Scheduler will support the MacKay River Facility (MRCP) for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation assets such as pumps, compressors, burners, furnaces, motors, meters, valves, seals, etc. This position plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operation, ensuring maintenance preventative, predictive and corrective work is planned and scheduled, while driving continuous improvement in maintenance planning and scheduling practices. You will work with and support a multi-discipline execution team consisting of Maintenance trades, Maintenance Coordinator and Operations and Maintenance Lead to review, prioritize, plan and schedule maintenance activities. This role requires a highly professional and personable individual who demonstrates strong business judgment and can network, communicate, organize, and work in a busy environment with multiple stakeholders. This position will report to the Maintenance and Reliability Superintendent.

Work condition: 14 days on/ 14 days off, Fly in/Fly out based in Fort McMurray AB.

Hourly Rate: Starting at $54.45/hour

Responsibilities:

· Liaison with Maintenance trades, Maintenance Coordinator, Engineering to develop job plans, scopes and cost estimates.

· Identify materials required for work plans and support the purchase.

· Develop, manage and improve new and existing maintenance strategies, plans and task lists.

· Develop execution plans including drawings, materials, resources and equipment

· Monitor work progress, costs, and performance and manage added work

· Create and close out preventative, predictive and corrective work orders.

· Manage work order backlog

· Facilitate daily notification reviews and weekly schedule reviews.

· Develop weekly schedule and review with operations and maintenance stakeholders.

· Update the maintenance work schedule and monitor schedule deviations and variances.

· Manage resource capacity and assign resources to execute planned and unplanned work.

· Maintain bill of materials and material masters

· Reserve materials and create stock requests

· Liaison with external vendors for maintenance support

· Support the development of planning and scheduling key performance indicators

· Complete planning and scheduling weekly and monthly reports.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Minimum Red Seal journeyman trade, Engineering Degree, or Engineering Technologist Diploma.

· 10+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Planner and Scheduler.

· 10+ years’ experience working in oil & gas, petrochemical, pulp and paper, mining or
power generation industries in Canada.

· 10+ years’ working experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management
System (CMMS) such as SAP or Maximo.

· Proficient in the use of Graphical Work Order Scheduling software (GWOS) for work
scheduling.

· Multi trade knowledge for job planning, scoping and cost estimating.

· Good understanding of technical reporting and formatting.

· Excellent organizational, verbal and written skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office (Projects, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).

· Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.

· Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

· Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract.

· Good understanding of upstream oil and gas regulations and regulatory groups.

· Knowledge and experience with safe work practices in oil and gas upstream facilities accompanied by a superior safety attitude.

· Strong understanding of operational integrity, reliability and safety processes and procedures.

· Understanding of procurement practices.

· Experience with maintenance philosophies, standards, strategies, practices, and processes.

· Good understanding of various engineering drawings and documents.

· Valid driver license and clean abstract required;

· Current HSE tickets (H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, Confined Space Entry/Monitor, Fall Protection, AWP/EWP, WHMIS, etc.).
