Senior Manager (Accounts & Tax)

Job Description & Requirements

We are looking for a passionate and driven individual with strong accounting and tax technical knowledge and experience, good business acumen and leadership skills to manage our small accounting and tax teams.

Responsibilities:

1. Accounting:

  • Oversee and manage the accounts department, prepare and reviewfull-set accounts, UFS, consolidation for multiple clients, including management fee calculations and NAV computations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of unaudited financial statements in compliance with the latest SFRS and support XBRL filing when necessary.
  • Manage a small team of senior account executives
  • Knowledge and experience in preparing and reviewing management accounts, general ledgers, UFS, consolidation of accounts.
  • Familiar with the latest FRS 109, 115, 116.
  • Proactively liaising with our corporate clients and internal staff regarding the queries of all transactions made and requesting for all the accounting supporting documents when necessary, i.e., investment portfolios, statement of accounts and transaction advice.
  • Perform additional ad-hoc work as assigned, experience in providing fee proposals and solutions for our clients.
  • Experience in VCC, open and close-ended fund administration is preferred but not necessary.
  • Experience and knowledge in doing Single Family Offices fund accounts is preferred.

2. Tax:

  • Single Family office, tax compliance and annual declaration to MAS experience is preferred.
  • Manage client portfolio in the area of tax compliance and provide tax advisory services.
  • Review, provide recommendations on agreements and/or documents of clients for compliance and risk mitigation purposes.
  • Review, provide recommendations, solutions on clients’ portfolio and to understand the clients' needs to provide fee proposals.
  • Assist with the preparation of responses to IRAS’s queries and any audits.
  • Work collaboratively with other business areas as well as other corporate functions, such as providing tax technical support and advisory to our clients.
  • Manage the management fee agreements, supporting and documentation and computational work.
  • Manage own allocated portfolio of clients, to draft up proposals and/or to collate the necessary information.
  • Preparation detailed computations to calculate tax liability where necessary (Corporate & Personal).
  • Experienced in other various tax matters, including withholding tax S45 Form, COR application, ECI filing, GST submissions.
  • Knowledge and experience in CRS/FATCA registration, filing and memo would be an advantage.
  • Provide advisory and collaborated with cross-functional teams, including auditors and legal advisors, to support client needs and deliver comprehensive tax solutions.
  • Manage a small team of senior tax executives.
  • Assist with any other matters as tasked.

3. Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, addressing fund transaction inquiries and managing related financial documentation.
  • Foster strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for service enhancement.
  • Work closely with auditors, legal advisors, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive business solutions.

4. Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and guide a team of accounting and tax professionals, fostering a conducive, collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: minimum 7 years and above of relevant experience in accounting and tax in accounting or commercial firms.
  • Qualifications: Accounting Degree or professional accounting qualifications recognized by ISCA. Being an Accredited Tax Professional with SCTP will be an advantage.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in MS Office, QuickBooks Desktop, and Xero accounting software.
  • Fund Administration Expertise: Experience in VCC, open- and close-ended fund administration, and Single Family Office fund accounting is a plus.
  • Accounting & Tax Experience: Strong technical in accounting,familiarity with the latest SFRS, as well as tax experience including tax compliance, advisory, GST, personal income tax, CRS and FATCA. Must be familiar with Singapore Tax guidelines and the relevant tax incentives. Knowledge of Single Family Office private wealth tax compliance is an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $7,000.00 - $9,500.00 per month
