Job Title: Senior Manager - GCCO Control Testing and Assurance
Location: Bengaluru - Manyata Tech Park
Business & Team: The CCO risk team identifies and mitigates potential risks, ensuring the financial stability and compliance of our banking operations. GCCO (Group Chief controls office) control testing and assurance team ensures compliance and operational efficiency through meticulous control assessment. Our team is committed to enhancing control frameworks and mitigating risks with thorough and consistent testing processes.
Impact & Contribution: By conducting thorough control testing, you will help mitigate risks associated with financial reporting, operational processes, and compliance, ensuring the integrity of our financial statements and operations.
Roles & Responsibilities: This role is focused on, but not limited to:
- Lead and coach a team in the timely delivery of an effective Controls Assurance Program (CAP), utilising CBA’s Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) to provide an assurance result over the effectiveness of the control environment supporting different BU/SU.
Support the EM with talent management – recruiting, hiring, training, coaching and development of the team - Provide coaching and mentoring to junior staff allowing them to develop their risk and assurance knowledge and become more rounded risk professionals.
- Apply advanced SQL and IT assurance expertise to conduct tier 2 quality review and challenge of control testing outcomes and documentation quality and record keeping of the team, providing coaching and feedback as required
- Participate and provide challenge and support in stakeholder meetings when communicating assurance test results.
- Pragmatically and respectfully resolving escalations from the Manager/team where there is disagreement on test results between the BU/SU and the Automated Control testing team
- Assist the Executive Manager by developing the control testing schedule, agree and socialise scheduling with the team and internal stakeholders.
- Assist the Executive Manager in developing, uplifting and embedding the automated control testing and continuous monitoring capability and methodology, including - Leading continuous improvement of the business control environment by using analytics and data to generate insights and implement continuous monitoring and leading assurance optimisation through building analytics to collate test information for control testing.
- Developing advanced analytics for data related control assurance to test whether controls using data are producing the required data outputs (continuous control monitoring)
- Timely preparation of papers for the various CBA India governance forums. Provide timely and regular reporting on automated control assurance outcomes to BU/SU stakeholders Implement and perform controls owned by the Automated Control Testing function in line with the CAP standard and ORMF requirements.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum of 13+ years of experience
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related top control automation testing (ITAC and ITGC)
- Work closely with the business, Chief Controls Office (CCO)/Line 1 Risk community and technology teams in technical code reviews as part of control design and operational effectiveness testing to ensure the control is both fit for purpose and use
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on fast paced and dynamic environment; experience in financial industry
- Strong stakeholder and project management skills with an ability to lead and manage high performing team
- Develop and maintain the Team’s Standard Operating Procedures, templates and any dashboards and reporting.
- Utilise analytics skills to develop and communicate dashboards for various stakeholders Role-model the Group’s values and behaviours, and provide coaching to the team on their behaviour and required skills
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Arts, Business Management, Computer Applications, Business Administration, Commerce
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) is a Plus
