Job Description

Job Title: Senior O365 Administrator
Location: Hyderabad, India
Experience: 5–8+ years

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior O365 Administrator to administer, support, secure, and optimize the Microsoft 365 environment. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Entra ID, Intune, migrations, PowerShell, and Microsoft 365 security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
  • Manage user lifecycle operations including provisioning, mailbox management, groups, permissions, delegations, shared mailboxes, and resource mailboxes.
  • Plan and execute tenant-to-tenant and workload migrations involving mailboxes, SharePoint sites, and OneDrive data.
  • Handle migration assessment, cutover planning, user communication, post-migration validation, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls including MFA, Conditional Access, retention policies, eDiscovery, auditing, and secure sharing.
  • Support Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, compliance policies, application deployment coordination, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform monthly Microsoft 365 license utilization reviews and optimize license assignments based on business requirements.
  • Drive license cost optimization through license right-sizing, reclaiming unused licenses, and optimizing SKU usage.
  • Manage employee offboarding and ensure appropriate backup and retention of mailbox, OneDrive, and SharePoint data.
  • Provide L2/L3 support for Microsoft 365 incidents and service requests.
  • Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and change management activities.
  • Maintain SOPs, technical documentation, service health reports, migration documentation, and license optimization reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Microsoft 365 / O365:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 / Office 365
  • administration.
  • Experience managing Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for
  • Business. Experience supporting medium to large enterprise environments with 1,000+ users is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

Exchange Online:

  • Strong knowledge of mailbox management, shared/resource mailboxes, mail flow,
  • transport rules, and anti-spam policies.
  • Experience with permissions, delegations, and Exchange Online troubleshooting.

SharePoint & OneDrive:

  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint Online and OneDrive administration.
  • Knowledge of permissions, external sharing controls, governance, and data management.

Entra ID / Identity:

  • Good understanding of Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Experience with user and group administration, authentication, MFA, Conditional Access, and RBAC.

Intune:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager.
  • Experience with device enrollment, compliance policies, application deployment coordination, and endpoint troubleshooting.

Migration:

  • Experience in tenant-to-tenant and/or Microsoft 365 workload migrations.
  • Ability to handle migration planning, assessment, cutover, rollback planning, communication, and post-migration validation.

PowerShell & Automation:

  • Proficiency in PowerShell for Microsoft 365 administration and automation is
  • preferred.
  • Ability to automate administrative tasks and generate reports. Security &
  • Compliance: Understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls.
  • Knowledge of retention policies, eDiscovery, auditing, secure sharing, MFA, and Conditional Access.

License Management:

  • Strong analytical skills for license utilization tracking.
  • Experience with license right-sizing, SKU optimization, unused license reclamation, and monthly savings reporting.

General:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good incident and problem management discipline.
  • Strong documentation and SOP writing skills.
  • Good stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to work under IT governance and change management processes.

Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Administrator – MS-102 or equivalent.
  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate – MD-102 or equivalent Intune certification.
  • Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity certifications are an advantage.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,200,000.00 per year
