Joel's Restaurant is entering an exciting new chapter, and we are looking for an exceptional Senior Operations Manager to lead our team and drive the next phase of growth.

This is not a desk-based management role. We are looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, loves developing people, and is passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences.

As Senior Operations Manager, you will take full ownership of one of Dublin's busiest hospitality venues, leading a large team, driving commercial performance, and ensuring operational excellence across every aspect of the business.

About The Role

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Complex Manager and Group COO, you will be responsible for the overall success of Joel's Restaurant, including:

✔ Leading and developing a high-performing management team

✔ Driving sales, profitability and commercial performance

✔ Delivering exceptional guest experiences

✔ Managing day-to-day restaurant operations

✔ Supporting events, promotions and business growth initiatives

✔ Building a positive, accountable and engaged team culture

✔ Maintaining the highest standards of service, presentation and compliance

What You'll Be Doing

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, motivate and develop managers, supervisors and team members
  • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork and excellence
  • Recruit, train and retain top hospitality talent
  • Coach and mentor future leaders within the business

Operations Management

  • Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations
  • Ensure exceptional standards across floor, bar and guest reception
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence during service
  • Drive consistency, efficiency and operational excellence

Commercial Performance

  • Take ownership of sales, labour and cost control
  • Monitor and improve financial performance
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability
  • Manage stock control and operational costs effectively

Guest Experience

  • Create memorable experiences for every guest
  • Handle guest feedback professionally and proactively
  • Lead service recovery when required
  • Continuously improve standards and service delivery

Events & Business Development

  • Support the delivery of events, promotions and special occasions
  • Work closely with the Head Chef on menu development
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to drive business growth

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience managing a busy restaurant, bar or hospitality venue
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • A hands-on management style
  • The ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for hospitality and guest service
  • The confidence to make decisions and take ownership
