- Contribute to the provision of medicines in various stages of clinical trial development while working in a tertiary hospital pharmacy service

About the Role
Work with our team of Senior Clinical Trials Pharmacist + Pharmacy Technicians in the dynamic clinical trials space.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Day-to-day running of clinical trials, such as dispensing, liaising with our compounding unit, communication with clinical trial coordinators + trial monitors
- Involvement with the set-up of clinical trials, including the occasional investigator-led study
- Coordinate medicines access programmes such as compassionate supply
- Be involved with quality improvement initiatives for the pharmacy clinical trials team
- Support pharmacy audits + projects
- Participate in the inpatient dispensary roster as required + occasional involvement in weekend rosters

About the Team/Service
Providing pharmacy services to Waikato + rural hospitals, in addition to tertiary + advisory support to Te Manawa Taki region, our pharmacy service is key to the effective operation of the hospital health service.
From pharmaceutical supply, medicines safety + clinical services to the provision of an outpatient pharmacy, clinical trials + a compounding suite – our team does it all.
About you
Key Skills, Qualifications and Desirable Experience to be considered for this role:
- Experience: Preferably 5 years previous experience in hospital pharmacy or at least 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience coupled with relevant other pharmacy experience.
- Familiarity with trial processes is desirable
- You must be a New Zealand registered pharmacist
- We are seeking individuals with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, good organisational skills + ability to work both independently and as an integral team member. Experience of training other staff is desirable.
