The project: The senior scheduler role is within a major rail project based in Dublin. The experienced scheduler must possess experience as a scheduler in a large capital project delivery environment with an understanding of building and managing schedules against baselines to effectively communicate the schedule to key stakeholders. It is expected that the candidate will be educated to degree level in a project management, engineering, or construction industry discipline. Strong analytical and IT skills, particularly Primavera P6, MS Project Online, Excel, MS Office Suite, including Power BI is desirable.
You’ll be responsible for:
  • Managing and upholding exceptional standards in safety, quality, sustainability and compliance across all programme activities, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all teams.
  • Providing strategic direction for key assignments, ensuring effective planning, scheduling and performance to meet programme objectives and client expectations.
  • Developing, managing and reporting against fully integrated master schedules, maintaining WBS, baselines, assumptions, and change control to ensure programme integrity.
  • Facilitating schedule planning workshops, conduct progress reviews, challenge contractor deliverables and provide clear insights on critical path, variance and overall performance.
  • Delivering accurate, timely schedule reporting and “what‑if” analysis to support leadership decisions, resource planning, budgeting and integrated controls.
  • Supporting programme controls by aligning schedule, cost and risk data, contributing to the enhancement of planning processes, procedures and QSRA activities.
  • Upholding Mace values through diligent governance, supporting negotiations, strategic development and responsible business practices that drive long‑term positive impact.
  • Building strong collaborative relationships, promoting knowledge sharing, innovation and best practice across multidisciplinary teams, clients and key stakeholders.
You’ll need to have:
  • Strong communicator with excellent organisation and ability to build robust stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven independent working across multidisciplinary teams on complex offshore energy scheduling programmes.
  • 8+ years’ scheduling expertise with Primavera P6, MS Project, WBS development and QSRA proficiency.
  • Experienced leader with deep infrastructure knowledge, commercial acumen, and commitment to sustainable project outcomes.
