Amazon seeks a Transportation Procurement Manager to join our European Transportation Procurement Team in Luxembourg and manage our transportation contracts with major carriers across the Europe to enable new services that are specifically geared towards our B2B customers with their specific needs and wishes. Successful candidates will demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, constantly pushing boundaries to enhance delivery quality, speed, and innovation for Amazon customers. This highly visible role will manage an rapidly increasing spend which requires strong collaboration with Amazon Business, country management and procurement, finance, legal, and various transportation teams as we expand our Amazon Business offerings. Transportation Procurement at Amazon Europe focuses on creating value through strategic category management, leadership, sourcing activities, and supplier management across our expanding European network. Our team oversees suppliers across various transportation sub-categories, including postal services, express deliveries, and value-added delivery services, with a particular emphasis on developing new markets. Key job responsibilities: 1. Owning the procurement activities across Europe for Amazon Business, involving a growing number of carriers, with focus on expanding these with new services or launch new carriers if needed 2. Drive, participate and at times lead negotiations across all carriers in Europe when improving Amazon Business services. 3. Owns the program management of Amazon Business towards EU 3P Transportation Procurement 4. Contributes to the teams strategic goals with valuable insights into procurement processes. 5. Deliver procurement savings targets 6. Prepares and participates in QBRs with all carriers across the region. This role combines analytical leadership with strategic expansion initiatives. You'll analyze carrier data across multiple European markets, evaluate new geographical opportunities, and own negotiations that shape Amazon's future in Europe. You'll manage escalations and negotiate strategic contracts, while helping to establish Amazon's presence in new territories. As Amazon's contracts often represent the largest business opportunity for our carriers, you'll interface with their top executives and negotiation teams. This requires not only strong business acumen and negotiation skills but also the ability to understand and adapt to diverse European business environments and market conditions. While this is an individual contributor role, you'll lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives that expand Amazon's transportation network across Europe, making a lasting impact on our operational capabilities and customer experience in both established and emerging markets. About the team You will join the EU Transportation Procurement Team that owns all 3P Carrier relationships in EU. We are building a robust network of 3P Carriers that will in a sustainable way protect resources for future generations and deliver products with the least impact on environment. We want to be the bar raising Amazon organization pioneering end-to-end 3P carrier engagement on cost, speed, quality and decarbonization. The role reports to a Head of Transportation procurement who is also responsible for other geographies, AMXL, Direct Fulfillment and Under the Roof Procurement across Europe. The person will be part of a team of other procurement specialists.
- Master's degree
- Experience in wider supply chain or operations or logistics is a plus although not a must.
- Fluent in any language of the countries in scope
- Professional procurement qualification desirable.
