About the area
The Employee Entitlements Remediation Program (EERP) at UWA addresses historical and ongoing payroll compliance issues, ensuring accurate and fair compensation of employees in alignment with legislative requirements, including the Fair Work Act 2009, relevant Enterprise Agreements, and statutory instruments.
About the opportunity
- Manage and oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for programs and projects.
- Provide informed, strategic advice to the EERP leadership on financial impacts and risks related to entitlement remediation and budgets.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance of EERP financial activities.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline or equivalent demonstrated competency.
- Full professional membership of a recognised Australian or International accounting body (CPA, CA, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in payroll compliance, data analytics, and accounting within complex organisational settings, ideally within higher education or similarly complex environments.
- Extensive knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, payroll legislation, Fair Work Act compliance, and external audit requirements.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets and complex financial scenarios.
