The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for creation and evaluation of critical processes for the Amazon AIR business. Working with internal and external business partners (i.e. Planning, Operations, Product Management, and Tech) to identify and develop best practices. Learn & Be Curious to make generational improvements, prescribe strategies, and ultimately assist in transformation efforts are critical aspects to deliver on this role
Your observations, projects, and efforts will help guide the design and construction of the most customer-centric AIR operation in the world. Through data analysis, modelling, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, you will contribute to the future design of an optimal Amazon AIR transportation product.

  • Develop and implement innovative concepts impacting customer satisfaction, profitability, cost and associate experience
  • Develop internal and external stakeholders improving safety, quality and people standards to deliver a compliant and reliable operation
  • Identify key operational success metrics to best understand performance and work cross-functionally to implement solutions that effectively exceed targets
  • Ensure that planned network improvements are feasible and compatible with operational realities for AIR carriers, Ground Handling Agents, Customs, Amazon Fulfilment/Sortation Centers and 3rd party Postal carriers
  • Represent the company with partners, and work across all relevant cross-functional areas to guarantee effective communication, implementation, and execution of objectives.
  • Drive pilot programs with internal and external business partners.
  • Process re-engineering from operations looking for the best balance between speed, quality and cost
  • Build a quality management system to drive continuous improvement
  • Analyze and recommend optimal network solutions for peak and non-peak periods
  • Project management from conception to completion
  • Conduct and lead project meetings with senior management
  • Pull and report data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as requiredof the existing
A day in the life
As a Senior Program Manager, you will drive and manage the implementation of creative, data-driven change in Amazon, leading improvement projects and programs. You will use strategic thinking to define and implement an efficient project plan. Some managers are based on-site while others work remotely, depending on the most suitable option for their team and tasks.
Senior Program Managers have significant responsibilities, and you will deal with complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. With a responsibility extending beyond process improvements, you could also contribute to improving other areas of the business, like diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
  • Experience leading process improvements
