Our Property Management Team has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Property Manager to come on board. This newly created position (focusing on the Central North Island) is in response to a significant increase and ongoing growth of a larger and more complex number of property programmes in the region. Property is acquired and held for future transport system projects and for operational functions and so this is a pivotal role to understand our current and future property needs. Property that is surplus to future requirements is disposed of.



The role will cover the central North Island which comprises of Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Hawkes Bay, and Gisborne regions.



This position is a senior portfolio role that sits within the Transport Property team and one that will oversee the day-to-day leadership across all matters pertaining to the NZTA regional property portfolio, including both the acquisition and disposal of property, and overseeing & managing the property held for Transport Projects.

As well as your leadership attributes, you will also bring to the role:




Knowledge and experience:



  • A strong track record of experience in commercial property management (minimum 7 years) including building, tenancy, and asset management.
  • Strong negotiation skills for leases, licenses, rent reviews and renewals.
  • Project management skills
  • A sound knowledge of commercial and property law, and health and safety legislation; and their application in procurement practices and the management of property
  • Facilitation skills and experience
  • Financial analysis proficiency with sound financial management skills
  • Strong Communication and Stakeholder Management skills
  • Strong CAPEX and OPEX Management background
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills


Qualifications:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Bachelor or Business Studies (VPM), Bachelor of Property).
  • Ideally Professional Membership of PINZ/NZIV, RICS, Property Council or CoreNet.
  • Current and valid New Zealand driver's licence.
