This is an exciting opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary Public Health department dedicated to improving health and tackling inequalities in Wirral. We are looking for a Senior Public Health Knowledge and Intelligence Specialist to join our Public Health Intelligence team to lead our Research and Knowledge Intelligence function.
About the Role:
You will work across the Council and with external stakeholders to provide specialist technical public health intelligence support, spanning all areas influencing the wider determinants of health and wellbeing. This is an exciting time to join the team, as a senior member you will manage a small team supporting the provision of public health intelligence, working closely with the Qualitative Insight team to ensure the delivery of the Public Health priorities and to be actively involved and influence the development and delivery of our strategic and operational intelligence decision-making.
About the Candidate:
The successful candidate will have expert knowledge of health and social care data and statistics, advanced analytical skills and problem-solving capacity, strong epidemiological skills and knowledge and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will have a relevant degree or equivalent significant Public Health knowledge and skills.
We're looking for someone who is able to evidence extensive experience in partnership working and influencing, critical appraisal and synthesis of evidence, analysis and interpretation of data to inform decision making, production of presentations for a range of audiences, and project management.
