Senior Purchasing, Payables and Receivables Advisor
We are looking for an experienced Senior Purchasing, Payables and Receivables Advisor to provide efficient, effective, and responsive support to the Manager Purchasing, Payables and Receivables. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive, team focused environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing purchasing, payment and receivable team metrics
- Ensuring payment processing meet government timeliness requirements
- Ensuring accounts receivable processes are maintained
- Actively monitor and manage overdue accounts
- Triaging the accounts payable, purchasing and receivables inboxes efficiently and allocation of the emails
- Preparing excel reports, analysing results and emailing these results to the wider DIA
- Supporting purchasing, payables and receivables team members with problem solving
- Maintenance of both team and user guides
- Maintenance of the DIA intranet
- Management of the team in the absence of the Manager
- Staff training for new team members
- Provide user training to the wider DIA
We need someone who has:
- Proven experience in providing efficient and effective accounts payable, purchasing services and/or receivables services to a team, preferably within the public sector and at a senior level.
- Prior experience building and maintaining strong and effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated experience managing high volumes of work within tight time frames, to required quality standards.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level.
- Ability to analyse data.
- Proficiency in working with financial information.
