Senior Quantity Surveyor – Galway/Athlone
Due to continued growth, OCC Construction are seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Galway/Athlone, offering excellent opportunities for career progression and development.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS to join a progressive, forward-thinking contractor delivering high-quality projects across the West of Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cost control, commercial reporting, and financial oversight across projects
- Manage contract documentation (PWC, RIAI), subcontractor packages, and valuations
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor tenders, variations, and final accounts
- Lead procurement activities and supplier negotiations
- Deliver monthly cost reporting and commercial performance analysis
- Ensure commercial compliance with company systems and standards
- Collaborate with site teams to align budgets with delivery programmes
- Mentor and support junior surveyors as part of the commercial team
Requirements:
- Degree qualified Quantity Surveyor
- 5+ years’ experience in a QS role, ideally with a main contractor
- Strong experience in commercial management, cost control, and contract administration (PWC, RIAI)
- Proven track record managing subcontractor accounts and procurement processes
- Good knowledge of Irish construction regulations and best practice
- Proficient in Excel; experience with Cubit, Procore or similar systems an advantage
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
- Full clean driving licence
