Senior Security Consultant – National Security Delivery (NSD)

To better serve security authorities in strengthening their cybersecurity capabilities, DNV Cyber has established the National Security Delivery (NSD ) unit. NSD provides a comprehensive range of cybersecurity services tailored to the needs of governmental and critical infrastructure customers.

We are now looking for an experienced Senior Security Consultant to join our NSD team. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects that shape national security and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in designing, developing, maintaining, and procuring secure system and network architectures that comply with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the implementation and interpretation of both technical and non-technical security solutions across diverse customer environments.
  • Guide clients in defining and acquiring cyber-secure systems, software, and related components in alignment with established security frameworks and regulatory standards.
  • Define, refine, and negotiate security requirements for information systems during procurement and architecture design phases.
  • Conduct cyber risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Provide expertise in system and network architecture design ; familiarity with firewalls, switches, and secure network solutions is considered an advantage.
  • Collaborate with Finnish governmental organizations and operate within classified environments (TL IV – TL II).
  • Lead projects and manage deliverables independently in customer-facing roles.

About you
Technical Requirements
  • Familiarity with environments classified under the Finnish national security classification system (TL IV – TL II).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and regulations such as Finnish national security auditing criteria KATAKRI 2020 and NSCA-FI guidelines, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-218 or similar.
  • Experience in both IT- and OT-domains
  • Experience in maritime, aviation or defense domains is considered as a plus.
  • Knowledge of RF technologies (radars, radios, wireless data communications etc.) is considered as a plus.
  • Knowledge of system and network architecture design, including knowledge of information networks and data networking solutions.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management and security hardening.
  • Ability to scope security testing in various IT-and OT-environments.
  • Excellent documentation and time management skills.
  • Experience in cyber security management within complex technical procurement processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Fluency in Finnish and English.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Effective team collaboration skills.

We are looking for an expert for administrative cybersecurity tasks, particularly related to audit requirements. You don’t need to master everything mentioned in this job posting - you can also build on your existing strong expertise in the role.

This position is full-time, and you can work from any of our locations in Espoo, Turku or Jyväskylä. We are flexible with remote work whenever possible. Due to the nature of the role and customers, we require Finnish citizenship, strong Finnish language skills, and the ability to pass a standard security clearance. Our corporate language is English.
