The Data Center Senior Service Technician plays a critical role in delivering high‑quality service, maintenance, and technical expertise within data centers and other mission‑critical environments. Serving as a primary technical contact for customers, this role ensures exceptional system performance by diagnosing and resolving complex issues, commissioning and starting up advanced HVAC systems, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance with precision. Leveraging deep knowledge of air‑conditioning theory, thermal dynamics, mechanical layouts, and system integration, the Data Center Senior Service Technician supports both new facility installations and existing site retrofits, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless operations.

- Coordinates with project manager and customers to precisely understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials and synchronizing on-site work.
- Represents the company by serving as the direct customer contact and is responsible for products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer location.
- Commissioning, diagnosing and repairing HVAC equipment and systems on customer premises
- Uses cutting edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
- Displays team effort and dedication to customers by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays.
- Works closely with Data Center partners in high stress situations to eliminate downtime.
- Provides coaching and training to less experienced technicians as required.
- Continually enforces safety to the highest standards and maintains security and accountability of company issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions.
What you will bring
- Ability to perform all work in the service and maintenance field on all major types of equipment.
- Works under limited supervision.
- Uses cutting edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
- This role requires around 5+ years of relevant experience in refrigeration or HVAC technology or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience (experience in a data center environment is considered an asset)
- In possession of a European F-gas certificate.
- Able to drive and work in Finland.
- Strong ability to work flexibly across multiple locations.
- Excellent written and oral communication, in English.
- Good laptop experience is preferred.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally, and lead by example through adhering to the leadership principles.
