Are you an experienced and passionate Social Worker looking to take the next step in your career? Join Tamaki Oranga Recovery Centre, a purpose-built inpatient rehabilitation facility providing specialist mental health services for men with high and complex needs.

About Tamaki Oranga Recovery Centre:

  • 20-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit serving the wider Auckland region and Northland.
  • Strengths-based, recovery-focused approach to mental health rehabilitation.
  • Multidisciplinary team providing holistic and culturally responsive care.
  • Committed to supporting patients in transitioning back into the community.

As a Senior Social Worker Clinician, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments and treatment interventions.
  • Work in partnership with service users and whaanau/partners in care.
  • Lead and support high standards of clinical practice and service development.
  • Offer advocacy, care coordination, and family support.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, staff mentoring, and research activities.

Essential:

  • Registered NZ Social Worker with a current Annual Practising Certificate.
  • Minimum 5 year’s experience as a social worker in mental health and addiction services.
  • Strong clinical leadership skills and experience mentoring and supervising others.
  • Knowledge of Maaori models of care, community resources, and service networks.
  • A full NZ driver’s licence.
