Why this opportunity is different

This is not a traditional accounting role.

You will work across Building Management Committees (BMCs), Building Management Groups (BMGs), mixed-use developments and other complex property structures, becoming a trusted finance adviser and technical specialist who helps stakeholders navigate accounting, governance and financial management challenges.

Rather than focusing solely on processing and reporting, you will contribute to advisory projects, support capability uplift across the team and help shape how specialised finance services evolve.

Become a trusted finance specialist across assigned schemes
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and clients
Develop expertise in specialised property finance structures
Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives
Expand your advisory and stakeholder management capability
Help strengthen the broader Specialised Finance & Advisory team

What you will be working on

Prepare and review journals, reconciliations, financial statements and supporting workpapers
Manage financial administration across specialised property structures
Support audits, year-end reporting and complex accounting assessments
Explain financial concepts and outcomes to non-financial stakeholders

Support tender responses, business cases, onboarding and advisory initiatives
Accurately record and manage time to support resource planning and sustainable service delivery
>Contribute to automation, technology and AI-enabled improvements
Mentor junior team members and share technical expertise

About you

You are curious, commercially aware and enjoy solving problems.

You may currently work as a Senior Property Accountant, Senior Financial Accountant, Big 4 Senior Accountant, Senior Trust Accountant, commercial real estate finance professional, or in a property, infrastructure, development or advisory environment.

CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion with substantial relevant experience
A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or commerce
Three to four years' experience in property finance and accounting
Strong financial accounting and reporting capability, with knowledge of AASB and IFRS
Experience preparing and reviewing journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, financial statements and audit workpapers
Experience explaining financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Commercial awareness, sound professional judgement and the ability to work independently
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and learning
