Senior Traffic Operator

Seven logistics is looking for an experienced Traffic Operator with strong communication skills, good customer facing and the ability to lead a team. As an experienced traffic planner you will have a wealth of knowledge to help support the day to day functions of the traffic office and ensuring our customers receive the best service we can offer.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Planning work from Felixstowe and London Gateway on allocated traffic sheet
  • Managing allocated trucks and ensuring revenues and service levels are met
  • Managing drivers and ensuring communication and relationships are kept up to high levels
  • Ensure all current day issues are managed and resolved efficiently
  • Booking and ensuring VBS are booked correctly

Skills and Attributes Required:

  • Essential - More than 5 years of experience in a planning role
  • Ability to maintain a high level of traffic planning under pressure
  • Knowledge of Truckcom preferred
  • Understanding of port and VBS systems
  • Knowledge of haulage and container industry
  • Good customer facing skills
  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Good people and team building skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Can do attitude
  • Good Team player
  • Ability to lead a team
  • A driven, confident and motivated individual
  • Excellent at problem solving
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable IT skills

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Felixstowe: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

  • Traffic Planning: 5 years (required)
