Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for driving out cost from commercial and technical scopes in collaboration with specialists in the Bioenergy business unit. You’ll be facilitating idea generation processes to cut cost from current specifications without compromising on quality and safety. You’ll work methodically and creatively together with technical and commercial counterparts to find opportunities to remove complexity and overspecification. In tandem, you’ll be responsible for building in-house cost estimation and budgeting capabilities to enable cost driver identification and better decision making.
Welcome to Bioenergy Procurement
You’ll be part of Category Management where you, together with your colleagues, will partner with the Bioenergy business to reach their strategic goals. Category Management is responsible for steering the business towards long term supply chain objectives, being the gateway to the market and devising category strategies which support safe and high-quality operations and project development. Cost transparency will be a key enabler for understanding Total Cost of Ownership and removing cost over time in an effective yet responsible manner. As a team, we put the highest emphasis on supporting each other and developing capabilities, both as a function and as individuals. We strive for high performance, but in a safe and engaging work environment
You’ll play an important role in:
- creating a cost database which leverages historic data and seamlessly incorporates data points collected via current and future projects
- establishing a digitally powered process for collecting and sorting data points continuously improving and building the data base for long term accuracy in budgeting
- creating a set of cost estimation methodologies which makes best use of obtained data at any given point during project development to provide the best possible basis for decision making
- facilitating and generating cost out opportunities by working together with technical colleagues in removing unnecessary complexity.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have an affinity for technical scopes, but do not necessarily have a technically founded background. As a minimum, you have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, economics or another relevant field
- understand the discipline of cost estimation for large heavy industry CAPEX projects
- are an experienced project manager, structured and with strong analytical and communication skills
- have experience from a large procurement/project organisation where you have worked with the concepts of Total Cost/Value of Ownership and value engineering
- have worked with project development in an EPC context.
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
