Senior Waiter/Waitress – Day Shift (9-5)

Location: Howth, Co. Dublin Company: The Doghouse in Howth

The Doghouse is seeking a confident and experienced Senior Waiter/Waitress to lead our weekday morning and day shift at The Dog House in Howth. This role is ideal for someone with strong barista skills who enjoys working independently and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, character-filled setting.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No evening or weekend shifts

About the Role: As the first point of contact for our morning guests, you’ll manage the front-of-house operations during the day shift, with a strong emphasis on coffee service. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards, supporting junior staff, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages with consistency and speed
• Lead the morning/day shift, ensuring smooth service and team coordination
• Deliver professional table service and manage customer interactions
• Maintain a clean and organized service area, adhering to hygiene standards
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
• Support general café / restaurant duties and light food prep as needed

• Proven experience in hospitality, ideally in a senior waiter or supervisory role
• Strong barista skills and confidence in managing a busy coffee service
• Ability to work independently and take initiative

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €14.50-€15.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Howth, CO. Dublin: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Restaurant Supervision or management: 1 year (required)
• Barista: 1 year (preferred)
