Seo & Digital Performance Consultant

We’re on the hunt for a SEO and Digital Performance Consultant to join our dynamic team at one of the North of England’s top integrated marketing agencies. As a key player in our Digital Marketing team, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering SEO and excellent customer service to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Using insights to devise best in class SEO strategies that are aligned with client’s business and marketing objectives
  • Conducting regular in-depth technical audits with recommended fixes and priorities using tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Google Search Console and Page Speed Insights
  • Analyse, evaluate and produce monthly SEO & website performance reports to assess digital performance and track keyword rankings vs competitors providing clear insights and actions
  • Work closely with the web and digital marketing teams to ensure SEO best practice across all websites and identify opportunities and improvements can be made
  • Support our website development team in the effective launch/migration of website projects including pre and post live SEO work
  • Conduct extensive and targeted keyword research and use this to make decisions on clients’ website structure, make on-page SEO improvements and optimise content and page authority
  • Formulating SEO based KPIs aligned with wider marketing objectives
  • Creating SEO content plans and briefing in content to be created for SEO purposes
  • Manage link building strategy, conduct backlink audits and identify potential opportunities for digital performance growth
  • Conducting in-depth competitor landscape reviews to help inform strategies
  • Undertake digital performance deep dives into websites to analyse and evaluate performance and identify clear improvements aligning with clients’ objectives.
  • Attending client meetings to review performance and make recommendations for ongoing improvements
  • Work collaboratively within the team, taking ownership of smaller accounts or tasks
  • Support wider PPC & paid social media team on implementation of any paid digital marketing tasks
  • Creating activity plans aligned to client objectives
  • Remain up to date with the latest SEO Trends and Algorithm updates and share knowledge across relevant teams

Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of good knowledge, understanding and experience in SEO, with a focus on keyword research, content optimisation, on-page, off-site or technical SEO.
  • Digital Marketing qualifications
  • An understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking & tools
  • Proven experience with SEO programmes and Analytics packages, including GA4, Google Tag Manager, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, PageSpeed Insights
  • Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools
  • An understanding of other digital marketing channels and how and where SEO sits within the mix
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Using data-driven approaches to analysis and reporting
  • Able to use own initiative and work independently alongside working within the digital marketing team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Further Information:

  • Hours of Work: 8:30AM-5PM Monday to Thursday, 9AM-4PM Friday
  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Salary: Up to £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
