Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring efficient processing of sales transactions
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety, including food handling and sanitation protocols
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
• Assist with food preparation tasks when needed and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar area, and service stations; bus tables efficiently to prepare for new guests

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or casual dining settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and handle diverse needs confidently
• Demonstrated ability in beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism

Pay: $5.50 per hour
