Parry Sound Chevrolet Buick GMC is one of Ontario’s fastest-growing GM dealerships and a multi-year President’s Club Award winner. We pride ourselves on friendly small-town service with big-city professionalism — and we’re looking to add a dedicated, customer-focused Service Advisor to our expanding Fixed Operations team.

Position Summary

The Service Advisor is the customer’s primary point of contact for all service interactions. This role involves greeting customers, understanding their service needs, preparing repair orders, and communicating updates clearly and professionally. A great Service Advisor builds trust, ensures accuracy, and contributes to an exceptional service experience from drop-off to pick-up.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Interaction

  • Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming service experience
  • Listen attentively to customer concerns and accurately document symptoms, issues, and requests
  • Communicate work estimates, repair timelines, and required maintenance clearly
  • Provide service recommendations based on manufacturer guidelines and vehicle condition
  • Follow up with customers throughout the service process

Repair Order & Workflow Management

  • Open, prepare, and update repair orders with complete and accurate information
  • Coordinate effectively with technicians, parts department, and service management
  • Prioritize work to meet shop capacity and customer needs
  • Verify warranty coverage, recall eligibility, and GM program requirements
  • Review completed work with customers and ensure satisfaction at delivery

Sales & Performance

  • Recommend maintenance and repair services in a transparent, value-focused manner
  • Support dealership goals for customer satisfaction, shop efficiency, and service revenue
  • Promote service packages, seasonal specials, and protection products

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure accurate documentation for warranty claims, recalls, and customer-pay work
  • Maintain OMVIC, GM, and dealership process compliance
  • Protect customer information and maintain confidentiality
  • Process payments, finalize repair orders, and assist with appointment scheduling

QualificationsRequired

  • 1–2 years of experience in automotive service, customer service, or a related role
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive, professional attitude and customer-first mindset
  • Basic computer skills (Quorum, Reynolds, Xtime, or similar considered an asset)

Preferred

  • Prior dealership Service Advisor experience
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems, maintenance schedules, and repair terminology
  • OMVIC certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Monday–Friday 7:30am to 5pm
