This role is not for beginners, order-takers, or “I’ll call them back later” advisors.

We are looking for a top-tier Service Advisor who takes pride in running clean repair orders, following up fast, and delivering a customer experience that feels calm, confident, and professional from start to finish.

If you believe great follow-up, clear communication, and personal ownership are non-negotiable, you will feel at home here.

Role Summary

The Service Advisor is the owner of the customer experience. You guide each customer from the first conversation to final pickup with clarity, urgency, and class. You turn vehicle concerns into clear plans, present estimates that make sense, earn approvals through strong fundamentals, and keep work moving through the shop without chaos.

The standard is simple: world class service with class.

What You Will Do

● Own repair orders from first contact through final delivery without hand-holding

● Communicate clearly, confidently, and proactively with customers by phone, text, and in person

● Present estimates in plain language with clear options, never a wall of work

● Follow up on every estimate within 15 minutes and continue until a decision is reached

● Set and honor next update times so customers are never left wondering

● Document notes so any team member can instantly understand status and next steps

● Coordinate with technicians to keep production moving and expectations aligned

The Standard (Non-Negotiable)

● Every estimate gets a follow-up within 15 minutes. No exceptions.

● You do not let customers stall without a next step or agreed follow-up time.

● You ask for approval confidently and professionally.

● You write clean, time-stamped internal notes that protect the shop and your team.

● You take full ownership of outcomes, not excuses.

How You Communicate

You are expected to use clear, proven language that builds trust and moves decisions forward.

Examples (customize to your style, not the intent):

● “We won’t start work until you give us the green light.”

● “I will follow up by 3:00 today with an update, even if we are still diagnosing.”

● “Option A gets you safe and back on the road. Option B covers the recommended items while we are in there.”

● “Do you want to take care of the safety items today, or start with the minimum to address the concern?”

Tools and Environment

● Shop management software: [Tekmetric / AllDate / Indentifix]

● Digital inspections and estimate approvals

● Phone, text, and email communication tools

● Fast-paced shop where clarity and follow-through matter

Who This Role Is For

● Experienced Service Advisors who already operate at a high level

● Professionals who follow up without being reminded

● Advisors who sell with clarity and confidence, not pressure

● People who stay organized and calm when the shop is busy

● Team players who respect technicians’ time and the customer’s trust

Who This Role Is Not For

● Order-takers

● Advisors who avoid asking for the sale

● People who “check back tomorrow” without a plan

● Anyone uncomfortable with accountability and follow-through

Requirements

● 2+ years of experience as a Service Advisor in an auto repair shop

● Strong phone presence and customer communication skills

● Proven ability to close work through clear explanation and follow-up

● Comfortable managing multiple vehicles, timelines, and conversations

● Valid driver’s license

Nice to Have

● Tekmetric experience

● Digital inspection presentation experience

● Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Compensation and Growth

This role rewards consistency and execution. Strong advisors earn more here because they run tight repair orders, follow up fast, and create customers who trust us.

● Performance-based commission or bonus plan

● Ongoing coaching and skill development

Pay: $52,500.00 - $105,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Employee discount
  • Health savings account
  • Paid time off

Work Location: In person
