Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Service Dispatcher to coordinate and manage service requests within our logistics and transportation operations. The ideal candidate will efficiently schedule and dispatch service teams, communicate effectively with clients and drivers, and utilize various management systems to ensure smooth operations. This role is essential in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritize service requests via multi-line phone systems and other communication channels.
• Dispatch service technicians or drivers using transportation management systems such as SyteLine or AS400.
• Coordinate freight shipments, shipping, and receiving activities to meet delivery deadlines.
• Manage scheduling for service appointments, ensuring optimal routing and resource allocation.
• Enter data accurately into relevant systems, maintaining up-to-date records of dispatch activities.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve issues promptly.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, improve dispatch processes, and enhance overall efficiency.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams and 3PL providers to coordinate freight movements and logistics solutions.

Skills

• Proficiency with transportation and service management systems
• Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, service management, and shipping & receiving procedures.
• Excellent data entry skills with high typing accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong analysis skills to interpret operational data for process improvements.
• Exceptional communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal/written correspondence.
• Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
