We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Service Manager to lead our Home and Community operations in Thomastown, Victoria. You will play a critical role in shaping and delivering life-changing services that empower individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling lives while leading a passionate team to provide tailored, person-centred support.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact by building services from the ground up, including establishing and managing Supported Independent Living (SIL) services. Your leadership will ensure the seamless operation of programs, the development of high-performing teams, and the delivery of exceptional outcomes for customers and their families.

This role is ideal for a driven leader with a proven track record in disability services and a passion for growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management and Training: Oversee and train team members to ensure they are equipped to meet individual customer needs and maintain effective site operations on rotating rosters.

Workforce Development: Build and retain a high-performing, compliant workforce committed to social inclusion and aligned with organisational values.

Customer Engagement and Experience: Drive customer satisfaction through innovative engagement strategies, promoting service offerings, and maintaining appropriate support worker ratios.

Service Delivery and Improvement: Lead the development and review of person-centred services while fostering innovative approaches to improve service quality.

Operational Excellence: Ensure site operations run smoothly by safeguarding customer record privacy and overseeing contractor management and equipment servicing.

Reporting and Compliance: Fulfill reporting obligations and ensure all operations comply with legislative and organisational standards.

Strategic Alignment and Leadership: Deliver organisational strategy through high-performing teams and collaborative cross-portfolio management.

What you can bring to the team

You are an experienced leader with a strong background in disability services and a proven track record in setting up and managing services. You excel at navigating complex operational challenges and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

  • Minimum qualification of a bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
  • Experience successfully managing site-based services in Disability within Community services and SIL environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching individuals to provide person centred supports, including to people with complex requirements to achieve set outcomes and desired behaviours within the workplace.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the National Standards Disability Services, Quality & Safeguarding Framework, disability services provision and NDIS.
  • Onboard new participants, ensuring that risk assessments, support plans, and any other relevant documentation are completed in a timely manner.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills required to grow relationships with team members and stakeholders and lead through adversity.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an open Drivers License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.
