The Service Technician will play an integral role in developing lasting client relationships, providing exemplary service and support by accurately diagnosing and repairing devices, and acting as a technical liaison between the company and the clients we serve. They will be responsible for the maintenance, and repair of medical equipment and devices.
Key Responsibilities:
● Maintenance & Repair:
○ Perform repairs, maintenance and safety inspections on medical equipment to ensure optimal performance, longevity, and safe operating conditions.
○ Test and calibrate components using a variety of manuals, troubleshooting techniques, and code requirements.
○ Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with accuracy and precision, repairing or replacing parts as necessary.
○ Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
● Technical Support:
○ Provide technical support to healthcare providers and staff.
○ Respond to urgent service requests in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
○ Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions over the phone or by video call directly with clients and sales representatives.
● Compliance & Safety:
○ Ensure all equipment complies with safety, regulatory, and manufacturer guidelines.
○ Ensure documentation is complete, clear, timely, and accurate.
○ Participate in safety audits and inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
● Customer Service:
○ Communicate clearly and effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
○ Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and support.
○ Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or Service Manager.
Qualifications:
● Education & Experience:
○ Certificate or Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
○ Minimum of 2-4 years of experience working with electronics equipment, preferably in the medical field.
○ Experience with computers and medical devices.
● Skills & Competencies:
○ Strong technical skills in the maintenance, and repair of medical equipment.
○ Excellent problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
○ Ability to work both independently and in teams managing multiple tasks, simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment.
○ Ability to solve technical and performance issues using information from a variety of different sources.
○ Ability to interpret technical data like electronic circuit diagrams, schematics, and blueprints with skilled proficiency in the use of tools and test equipment.
○ Advanced computer skills - Proficiency with G-Suite (Docs/Sheets) highly desired.
○ Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
○ Working knowledge of technical requirements, codes, and standards associated with the field.
● Certifications:
○ Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to pick up parts as necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
