Vestas is seeking skilled and motivated Service Technicians to join our Offshore Service team at Horns Rev 3, a 407MW offshore wind farm located approximately 30 km off the northwest coast of Denmark. As part of our professional service unit, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and optimizing the performance of our V164 turbines under a full O&M contract with Vattenfall.
We are looking for an experienced Offshore Service Technician with a background in electrical or mechanical systems—ideally someone with previous experience working on Vestas or Siemens turbines.
This is a rotational position with 12-hour shifts, working 1 week on / 1 week off, starting daily at 6:00 AM.
Responsibilities
As a Service Technician, you will:
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and major component replacements on offshore wind turbines
- Work in 2-6 person teams, reporting to the Site Supervisor
- Ensure compliance with Vestas’ Health and Safety Management System
- Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical systems
- Use systems like Condition Monitoring and Remote Control for turbine diagnostics
- Log work activities and material usage in SAP
- Support the implementation of new procedures and ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Completed electrical or mechanical degree from a technical school, college, or university
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a relevant field (like offshore or high voltage)
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork, and technical excellence
- Experience with Vestas or Siemens turbines
