Settlement Social Worker

Refugee Settlement Programme - Palmerston North

Permanent Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

About the role – Kōrero mō te tūranga

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join the Pathways to Settlement programme in Palmerston North.

The Social Worker provides comprehensive assessments, social work support and settlement support to former refugees settling in New Zealand to regain control of their lives.

Who are we looking for? – Mā‎ wai te mahi nei?

To be successful you will have:

  • Have a tertiary social work qualification.
  • Lived experienced desirable but not compulsory.
  • Hold full registration with the Social Worker Registration Board/or registerable ready.
  • Can demonstrate strengths-based social work and cross-cultural understanding.
  • Have relevant experience in social work.
  • Have proven experience of the ability to network and build positive working relationships.
