If you’re the go-to person, the one who answers the questions, with the know-how to keep facilities running like clockwork, we have an opportunity for Sewage Treatment Plant / Water Treatment Plant Operator at our clients’ sites in the Bowen Basin, working 14days on and 7 days off for 11 hours, Fly-In-Fly-Out roster from Brisbane or drive in and out from Mackay and surrounds.

You will be responsible for:

• Inspecting and maintaining the treatment plant systems on a daily basis to ensure effective operations
  
• Supporting the maintenance and operation of filtering and chemical treatment processes
  
• Inspecting, servicing and repairing components of the water treatment plant including water intakes, pipes, water storage vessels, chemical treatment equipment controls, circulation pumps, boilers, heat exchanges and valves
  
• Ensuring that servicing and major repairs are arranged in a timely manner.
  
• Regular upkeep of daily logs & reports to ensure records are well maintained

Who are we looking for:

• Certificate III of Water and Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator Program
• Open C class driving license (Manual)
• Minimum of 2 years experience in operating a plant; experience in water sampling and testing techniques, inspection procedures, water and sanitation systems management.
• Australian Citizenship or full Australian working rights
• Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing and police check
• Strong safety awareness and excellent communication skills
• Proven ability to work autonomously and in a busy team to meet deadlines
• A strong commitment to high standards of customer service and integrity
