Working hours: 8.30 to 17.00 (Mon-Thu) and 8.30 to 16.30 (Fri).

ROLE OVERVIEW

We currently have an opening for a skilled and detail-oriented sewing machine operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will operate industrial sewing machine to assemble product using various fabrics, mesh & leather & will also include box stitching with precision & efficiency. The role requires a strong understanding of sewing techniques & Quality control standards & attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Operate Sewing machine & Overlocker

· Sew & Assemble Fabrics pieces according to design specifications, patterns or Instructions

· Inspect Finished products for Quality

· Meet Daily Production Goals whilst maintaining high Quality Standards

· Perform Basic maintenance such as threading, cleaning & replacing needles & bobbins

· Collaborate with other team members & Supervisors to ensure smooth workflow

· Follow Health & Safety regulations

· Report any issues with machines or materials to Supervisor

· New Product launch Pattern development

· Set up & operator Industrial Sewing Machine

· Follow Specific Machine settings & Threading procedures

· Sew Fabrics Leather, Mesh to specification required

· Check for defects before & after sewing

· Follow exact specification for style & construction of units

· Maintenance of machine, cleaning & oiling

REQUIREMENTS

• 1 - 3 years sewing/stitching experience (ideally in a manufacturing/production environment)

• Having a strong knowledge of how a sewing machine works and functions

• Capability to operate single, double or multi-needle sewing machines, to join articles into finished products on production basis.

• Ability to exercise sound judgement, be able to plan, be well organized, have sufficient oral and written communication skills, work well under pressure, take initiative, and be flexible and cooperative. The individual should also be accurate, dependable and timely.

• Ability to manage changing priorities, multiple deadlines and competing demands.

• Ability to thrive, and preference for dynamic, fast paced and high growth environments.
