We specialise in the fabrication and installation of advanced, energy-efficient HVAC, ventilation, heating, plumbing, and piping systems.

We are currently seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Operative to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent role based at our head office and workshop in Ballycoolin, Dublin 11, with occasional travel to site locations as required.

Role Overview

The Sheet Metal Operative will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal ductwork and related components. This role involves working both in the workshop and on-site, ensuring all work meets technical specifications, quality standards, and project deadlines.

Fabrication & Assembly

• Fabricate sheet metal ductwork and components in accordance with drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Use workshop machinery, tools, and equipment to cut, bend, shape, and assemble metal materials.
• Ensure accuracy, precision, and high-quality finishes throughout the fabrication process.
• Pre-assemble ductwork sections and prepare components for installation.

Installation

• Assist in the installation of ductwork and sheet metal components on-site.
• Fit and secure ducting, supports, and brackets as required by project specifications.
• Ensure installations are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with site requirements.
• Report any installation issues or adjustments needed to supervisors or project managers.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company and site-specific health and safety procedures.
• Operate workshop machinery and tools safely and responsibly.
• Participate in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and relevant training sessions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in the workshop and on-site.

Quality Control

• Inspect fabricated and installed components to ensure accuracy and compliance with technical standards.
• Identify defects or discrepancies and take corrective action as required.
• Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Work Planning & Coordination

• Work closely with the Sheet Metal Supervisor and workshop team to meet project timelines.
• Assist with loading, transporting, and unloading materials and finished components.
• Record material usage and report any shortages or equipment issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in sheet metal fabrication or HVAC ductwork installation.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal processes, tools, and workshop machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions, and specifications.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications (required).
• Experience in site-based installation an advantage.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work safely, efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
