Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction and metal fabrication, with a strong ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on various construction projects, including roofing and remodeling, where precision and attention to detail are paramount. The Sheet Metal Mechanic will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and repairing sheet metal products while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Duties

• Fabricate and install sheet metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, bending, and shaping metal.
• Perform heavy lifting as required during installation processes.
• Collaborate with other trades on construction sites, including carpentry, plumbing, and masonry.
• Conduct restoration work on existing structures using sheet metal techniques.
• Read and interpret construction documents, including schematics and blueprints.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.

Experience

• Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related field is essential.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with various construction tasks such as roofing, concrete forming, trim carpentry, stucco application, metal stud framing, tile laying, caulking, and welding.
• Previous experience on construction sites is highly desirable.
• Strong maintenance person skills with the ability to perform diverse tasks related to remodeling and restoration projects. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.66 - $34.43 per hour
