We're looking for motivated individuals to join our team in Sheffield. This role is part time with clients currently in Walkley, Stannington and Crookes.
We use a person-centred approach to keep the people we support safe, happy and healthy and to ensure each individual can live a life that makes sense to them. Using a Positive Behaviour Support strategy, we ensure we see the person first and not their disability.
Our core belief is that everyone has potential, something to offer and a valuable contribution to make to their community.
Job Summary
The main responsibilities of the job are to support the people within their own homes or in the community to provide respite care to their carers or to increase social inclusion and life skills.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Social inclusion
Sourcing activities for the individuals to partake in
Assistance with employment or education
Managing challenging situations and behaviours
Writing accurate and factual daily reports
Promoting and ensuring privacy and dignity
Working in a team and on an individual basis
Assisting with managing budgets and finances
Encouraging independence within everyday tasks such as cleaning, cooking etc
Assisting with personal care (dependent on need)
The candidate must have the following:
A UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle- Weekend availability
The following attainments and personal attributes are considered essential to the post:
- Self-motivated, responsible, and able to act on your initiative
- Be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadline
