Car Wash Shift Lead Job Summary:

The RipTide Car Wash is seeking a Shift Lead to help oversee the day-to-day operations of our Gastonia location. We are a rapidly expanding family-owned and operated company with several car washes throughout the Southeast, and we are looking for hard-working and talented individuals to enhance our site's core team.

We are targeting candidates who have prior car wash experience. In particular, experience with any of the following would be ideal:

· Working with Unlimited Wash Club Memberships/Monthly Recurring Plans (i.e., selling these plans to customers, increasing the total number of net customers with an unlimited plan at one or more car washes, troubleshooting issues related to unlimited plans, etc.)

· Familiarity with routine car wash maintenance protocols and troubleshooting issues related to car wash equipment and chemicals

· Handling various customer satisfaction-related scenarios

Car Wash Shift Lead Job Schedule:

• Our Gastonia location is open Sunday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Our Shift Leads are expected to work 30-40 hours weekly.
• Our Shift Leads are expected to work the occasional weekend shifts.

Car Wash Shift Lead Job Pay:

• The starting pay rate is $15 to $17 per hour.
• Shift Leads are eligible to receive overtime pay.
• Shift Leads are eligible for sales commission for each unlimited wash plan or prepaid plan membership they sell. We run various promotions throughout the year to increase customer numbers and make selling plans easier. Commission payouts vary depending on the unlimited/prepaid wash plan package, but the typical payout is $10 per plan sold.
• Over the years, RipTide has sold our customers tens of thousands of unlimited wash plan memberships. Our most successful employees have made over $40/hour when their hourly rate and commission bonuses are added together!
• There is NO cap on commission earnings! If you sell 1,000 plans in one month, you could make $10,000 in commission!

Car Wash Shift Lead Job Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Successfully open and close the store based on proper store protocol.
• Maintaining proper safety and quality control procedures.
• Notifying management of any equipment-related concerns or damages.
• Assisting with new employee training/development.
• Reporting all customer-related questions and concerns to store management.
• Providing the best customer service experience possible.
• Acting as the Manager on Duty whenever no Assistant and/or General Managers are present at the site.
• All other duties as assigned by the site general manager.

Car Wash Shift Lead Job Qualifications:

• 2+ years of car wash experience and sales experience are both highly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills are essential.
• Must be highly adaptable and be able to think quickly on your feet.
• Mechanical aptitude is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to lift/push/carry objects weighing more than 50 pounds.
• A reliable form of transportation is required.
