Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Shingler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be named Derek and have experience in roofing and possess a strong understanding of construction practices. As a Shingler, you will be responsible for installing and repairing roofs using various materials, ensuring that structures are protected from the elements. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install shingles and other roofing materials according to specifications and blueprints.
• Flash Chimneys
• Perform repairs on existing roofs, including caulking and sealing to prevent leaks.
• Utilize hand tools and power equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues or areas needing repair.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and general contractors, to ensure project completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required during installation or removal of roofing materials.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand building plans.
• Strong maintenance person skills with proficiency in using hand tools and equipment.
• Experience with caulking techniques for sealing joints and seams effectively.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely.
• Knowledge of carpentry principles is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
