We are looking for a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Shipper & Receiver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing and shipping outgoing orders, maintaining accurate shipping documentation, and safely handling materials and equipment within our facility.

This is a hands-on position in a busy industrial/manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, safety-conscious, and able to manage multiple priorities throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials, parts, and equipment
• Prepare, package, label, and ship outgoing orders and equipment
• Verify quantities, part numbers, shipping information, and documentation
• Safely operate a forklift and overhead crane to move and position materials
• Load and unload trucks and shipping containers
• Coordinate freight pickups and deliveries with carriers
• Complete bills of lading, packing slips, and other shipping documentation
• Assist with domestic and international shipments
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records
• Assist with inventory organization and tracking
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping and receiving area
• Communicate with suppliers, customers, couriers, and freight companies
• Follow all company and workplace safety procedures
• Perform other related shipping, receiving, and warehouse duties as required

Required Qualifications

• Previous shipping and receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience
• Valid Forklift Certification
• Overhead Crane Certification/Experience
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to accurately complete paperwork and shipping documentation
• Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Preferred / Asset Qualifications

• Experience with international shipping
• Knowledge of customs documentation and export requirements
• Experience preparing commercial invoices, packing lists, and other export documentation
• Familiarity with freight carriers and logistics
• Experience working in a manufacturing, machine shop, industrial, or mechanical environment
• Experience with inventory or ERP systems

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who takes pride in being organized, dependable, and efficient. You will play an important role in keeping materials, equipment, and orders moving through the shop, so strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.

The ability to safely operate both a forklift and overhead crane equipment is an important part of this position. Experience with international shipping and customs documentation is an asset, but is not necessarily required.
